Information About
Rotary March For Veterans Celebration
This year will be the third year the Rotary Club of Cloquet will be hosting the March for Veterans Celebration, an event designed with the intent of helping to educate our communities about how Post Traumatic Stress Syndrom (PTSS) affects our nations veterans and their loved ones. Most of the money raised from this event will be donated to our local area Veterans through programs focused on helping them adjust, cope, and heal after returning home from active duty. Any remaining funds will go towards the Rotary Club of Cloquet to help further their missions throughout the world.
The event itself is always open to the public and will include speaker(s) who have served in the military and are able to speak about the experiences they went through when returning home. The event also includes entertainment and there will also be a silent auction featuring an assortment of items to bid on.
For this year, our guest speaker will be Chris Magnusson (check out her biography page) who has been in support of veterans through programs developed to support veterans, and has also been a part of I Am Not Invisible which brings to light women who have served in the armed forces throughout the years. Once again, we are also privileged by entertainment provided by Letters From Home, who will be performing entertainment from all the era’s. With their song, dance and audience participation, they will be sure to be a hit.
The Cloquet Rotary would like to thank everyone who has been in support of this event throughout the years. We couldn’t put on this event without the support of sponsors, the AAD Shriners who have provided us with a beautiful place to host the event, and the many volunteers and groups that assist in making the night enjoyable and memorable.
