Program: Russ Smith introduced Kelly Zink, Director of the Cloquet Area Chamber of Commerce. She handed out the 2016 Year in Review for the chamber, and highlighted the activities and accomplishments from last year.

She noted that chamber board members serve a 3 year term and volunteer time on one committee. The Ambassador committee is the arm of the chamber staff and is made up of 10 board members. The Business Enhancement committee works on the Leadership Program, which is offered every other year and lasts 7 months. The Connect Cloquet committee is made up of young professionals practicing servant leadership, partnering with non-profits. The Education/ Manufacturing committee leads the CEOs in the Classroom project, speaking to 8th graders about careers. The Public Policy committee is in charge of Business Day at the Capitol, and the Trail committee is working on completing phase 2 of the Munger Trail into Cloquet. Kelly also discussed the chamber's 2016 events: the Annual Meeting, the Home, Business and Sports Show, the Annual Golf Outing, the Easter Egg Hunt, the Fall Craft Show, and the Alumni Hockey game in conjunction with Home for the Holidays. Kelly concluded by saying that the chamber's goal is to bring business people together in the Cloquet area. Thank you, Kelly, for all you do for the community!
