Carlton County Historical Society Buildings

This week Rachael Martin presented a Power Point presentation about the Carlton County Historical Society buildings at the County Fair grounds in Barnum.

The CCHS owns 3 buildings - the Log Cabin, Barn, and Farm Machinery Building. The 2012 flood in June damaged all 3 buildings and many volunteer hours were need for clean up. Repairs on the roof and floor of the log cabin couldn't be completed in time for the August 2012 Fair, or even by the 2013 Fair. Now the Sentencing to Serve crew agreed to take in the project, which should be completed in time for the 2014 Fair. Volunteers are needed at the CCHS buildings all 4 days of the Fair, Thursday, August 14 through Sunday, August 17.
